Today, we broke the system.
Cub Scout Pack 334 and Scouts BSA Troop 334 (as well as Scouts BSA Troops 114 and 474) wrapped up the 2025 Scouting For Food drive by collecting so much food that the Philabundance truck had to make two pickups — and we still managed to use up every available pallet at the collection point.

The weather was perfect, the energy was high, and the turnout was incredible. When the very first cars rolled back in completely stuffed with food donations, our volunteers and Scout Leaders knew instantly: this was going to be a special day.
A True Team Effort
From our youngest Lion Scouts in kindergarten to our oldest Scouts preparing for their Eagle Boards of Review, everyone showed up and got straight to work. Last weekend, our Scouts blanketed the neighborhood with door hangers announcing collection day, and our community responded with tremendous generosity.
By mid-morning, cars were lining up, Scouts were sorting nonstop, and the stacks of boxes kept getting higher.

The Numbers Tell the Story
When everything was collected, sorted, and counted… the final total stopped everyone in their tracks:
7,487 food items collected.
More than ten pallets — completely filled.
This makes 2025 our strongest Scouting For Food drive since tracking began in 2016.
Year-by-Year Comparison
- 2025: 7,487
- 2024: 4,490
- 2023: 4,562
- 2022: 3,594
- 2021: 3,929
- 2019: 3,192
- 2018: 2,855
- 2016: 3,620
The growth is stunning — and it reflects the dedication, organization, and hard work of our entire Scouting family.

Thank You, Community
A huge thank-you to all the volunteers, Leaders, and parents who helped plan, coordinate, and move mountains of food today. And to our Scouts — who greeted neighbors, climbed stairs, hauled boxes, and sorted donations with enthusiasm and pride.
Finally, thank you to our amazing community. Your generosity today was overwhelming, and because of you, hundreds of families across our region will have more support heading into the holiday season.
What a wonderful way to begin the holidays — together, in service.

thanks for all involved making an opportunity to be part of it .
